so i was thinking i'd really like to see someone create a super-cute japanese 3ds game about mailmen. it would be a simple rpg with puzzle elements - basically you play as a mailman in charge of delivering letters around the world. you might start out as a "one star" mailman that just delivers local letters, but eventually be able to go up in status and deliver letters to exotic and far away places. to get to the location, you'd play different mini games based on the mode of transportation (plane, car, rocket ship, submarine, on a bike, etc). you could also rack up money based on how well you completed a mission, as well as have "days off" where you could travel to a place and collect postcards and souvenirs.
the art style of the game could look like it was drawn on paper, kind of like the way "yoshi story" utilized different types of paper and craft materials. the game could also have a sweet side, since the letters and objects you deliver could have a sentimental significance for the npc you're delivering to.
the game would also have also have an online element, where you could send your real life friends digital postcards from hard to reach locations in the game as a way to brag about your accomplishments. you could also unlock new locations and missions via online content.
overall, there's something really cool and old fashioned about delivering mail, and i'm surprised there's very little out there in the way of stories (video games, comics, etc) about it.
also, the japanese in my drawings might be completely wrong. lol i used google translate. i just like the look of it.
